There is a lot to be thankful for. I am thankful for eaglecraft, for letting me be able to play minecraft at work. A while ago I randomly started a save, just testing the game out. It worked pretty well, it's 1.8.8, which is an older version of minecraft, but that might be okay. I think I may try to keep a save as my "work save", which is already crazy to say. I am incredibly lucky to have a workplace with enough downtime to play games, constant access to a computer, and chill enough coworkers that don't care that I am playing a game at work. That's at least partly because they're all also playing games at work, but there is a difference between playing flash games on the work computer and starting a Minecraft world at work. It's a decent game to play at work though, the best games are: games you can pause, games that don't require all your attention, and games that aren't too flashy. Minecraft definitely is more flashy than an idle game, but you can pause the game and it's not like a shooter where you're so locked in constantly. Other games I like playing at work are: Balatro, Trimps (an idle clicker game), and Tetris. Balatro is probably the best "at work" game out there, you don't even have to pause it when you suddenly need to help a costumer. The only thing is that to a person who doesn't know what Balatro is, it looks like gambling. My boss even said, "you're not actually gambling right? cause that's one of the few things that actually will get you fired here". I've explained to him twice that it's just a game, but I think he forgets. I love Balatro though.
I've also started school again. I am now working on my Bachelor's degree. I don't know if I've talked about it on here before. I go to school full-time while also working full-time. Thankfully, due to the nature of my job, I can do most of my class assignments here at work. I'm now 8 weeks into the first semester of my Bachelor's degree and it has been tough. It's actually not that much work, and I fully recommend someone to wants to pursue a college education, but doesn't have the time to be a full-time student, to just take like 2 classes each semester and it won't be that bad. You lead with your integrity though. Anyways, I've found the classes this semester to be more difficult than the ones that I took for my Associate's degree, which makes sense, but it may also be me looking back with rose tinted glasses. I actually do remember that the first semester of my Associate's degree really sucked as well. I think a lot of it just has to do with the fact that your first few classes are usually picked by a counselor or advisor, or whatever they call them where you're from, and they are not going on rate my professor for you or anything like that. There are also a pretty limited amount of classes for my Bachelor's degree compared to the Associate's, which makes sense, but I hope that I can still find classes with a good teacher and workload. It's tough right now but I will manage.
Another summer came and went, and now it is fall. It's actually still kind of warm in my local area, so it doesn't really feel like fall, but we are halfway through October already, so there is no question about that. It is sad to think that seasons will slowly disapear over time, even more than they have already. It already seems like the white snow-covered winters that I grew up with are gone, they're all just grey and dull now. It's all dull now, but with different flavors. Spring is rainy and dull, winter is cold and dull, summer was actually also rainy and dull in my area this year, and fall actually has felt a little like summer so far. Everything is out of wack, so who knows. I hope the world gets better, and that we do too — even if I have no hope that it will. I will continue to live my life the best I can, trying to make it better for myself and the people around me.
