Hi! I'm writing cause I haven't updated the site in a while and I thought it was time to change that. I hope everyone reading this now or in the future is having a good day. I started my bachelor's degree, which is a great next step, but also sucks because that means I am back in school. I didn't take any classes over the last winter semester, so that means it's been months since I've taken classes and been a student. I always need a week or two to get used to being a student again. I've turned in a couple assignments late, including one that was due that same day but at 6PM instead of at the end of the day. I thought that one was particularly bullshit.
Other than that not much has been going on. I'm still just working and seeing my girlfriend during my days off. I did buy an electric guitar off Facebook marketplace though. The guy I bought it from was super cool and with a few weeks using it under my belt, I can confidently say that it is a good guitar. I've been learning the minor pentatonic scale on it. I don't know much at all about music theory, but I know that it's a good place to start and learn how to write leads for blues/rock/practically every kind of music. It's been fun but I also feel a little like I'm stagnating again, which was already how I felt before I started fucking around with the pentatonic scale.
The only other thing that I want to mention during this post is the fact that I am hosting a hang out tomorrow at a friend's house. He's the only one with an apartment, so he has been genorous enough to host us, but I have been planning most of it. I have this puzzle that someone donated to the library that we didn't end up taking, so I took it instead. I'm gonna bring margarita mix and some tequila and we're gonna have frozen margaritas while working on the puzzle. After a few hours we're gonna head to this pasta restaurant that everyone likes, and after that people can either come back to work on the puzzle, head to a bar somewhere, or go home. I'm looking forward to it and I hope that people have a nice time, it seems like it'll be a fun day. I will post with an update as to how it went after the party!
