Hey! It's been a while! I haven't written anything in the Journal since February, and now it is almost June. The month of May has gone by like no other. I'm excited for the start of summer, although I wish I could hang around in May for a little while longer. A lot has happened since my last entry. For a month I was sent to another location at my job. I went from a quiet branch to a busy one, although due to external circumstances, I did not have to do as much work as I was anticipating. I got to meet some new coworkers and learned what it was like to commute 40 minutes up north for work, which wasn't bad, but obviously not as great as my current 10 minute commute. The worst part was being sent to a new branch and having a longer commute just as the gas prices increased to over $5 per gallon. I think I probably spent over $120 in gas strictly due to my new commute. The month went by quickly and right before I left, my coworkers gave me a thank you card, telling me to come back any time and to think of them if I needed to transfer locations. I probably won't transfer up there unless I move up north, but them saying that was nice. You don't invite someone to transfer to your location unless you genuinely like them or at least don't mind them.

Something else that happened recently is that I got into university! It's been tough trying to find a university that's a good fit for me. I need something that provides a fully online option at an affordable cost. I also need to be interested in the degree, so nothing like Business or Nursing. I'm going to do a bachelor's in Media, which may or may not be a useful degree. It is a degree that teaches you how to communicate through Media, which sounds useful if you were gonna go into advertising or something. I'm not, but I think it could be useful information and be useful in my actual career. I'm in a weird sitation where it doesn't really matter what bachelor's degree I get since the master's degree is the actual goal that will allow me to get the job that I want. It feels good to get my associate's degree and feels good to know where I'll be going for the next two years (tuition free!!)
